Snapshots of New Year's Eve

This was New Years Eve morning and there were a few little scraps left over from a NW swell. Simpo, Ted and a million groms were trying to get a final session in before 2011. Happy New Years!

Spend 1 Hour in HB

We had a 2 day break from terrible weather and rain. This was day 2. This is a typical 2-3 ft NW swell, rights running away from the pier with Simpo, Navarro, Micah, and Peters running them down.

The Reunion Session

The waves have been bad for sooooo long. Bad weather, lack of swell, filthy water quality. Finally, today we got a little NW Swell and a break in the weather. Everyone came out of hibernation to chat and catch a few waves. Tomorrow looks good too!

Waring and Navarro

Still recovering from the flat spell, the boys are frothing on 2 footers. Ted finally upgraded his 2mm wetsuit that he's been wearing in 55 degree water, the only problem is that it's bright red. If you see him in the lot, give him some milk and cookies.

Pacific Ocean - Open for Business!

The waves have been flat for 3 solid weeks. We finally got a little pulse, with more on the way. A lot of the boys are in Hawaii, but those who aren't were eager to greet the swell at the pier. More to come!

Shreddy Scorching

Ted (riding his Mayhem Scorcher) was shredding this morning! Wraps, Flicks, Nose Picks. He did excellent surfing maneuvers.

BS in Newport!

A rare sight to behold, BS visits Newport Beach! Newport regulars Ted Navarro, Joe Alani, and Nick Fowler all showed up to rip a few. Chris Sardelis was getting the water shots and Joe Foster was getting the land shots.

Wind and Dead Batteries

I thought this morning was a wash. Shreddy had a dead battery and the wind was killing it. I struggled for 30 minutes in the water and then the boys paddled out and made it look like the waves were good. The morning went from nothing to something in 1 short hour.

A Foster Photo Shoot

The sun was out, Foster was in the water getting shots, and the usual Newport crew was doing work.

Bogs, Burns, and Blown Clips

The boggers shall remain nameless so as to to preserve their intregrity as professional surfers. Even their bogs would be great attempts for the rest of us. What's worse? When the filmer sits on the beach for an hour, then bogs on the best clip of the day.

This has some of the same clips as part 1, but a lot of new ones. It's also in full color with a faster track.

The Hangover

Ted's still recovering from his birthday bash (2 days ago). The good news? There was not a single car in the lot and not a single soul in the water. It was just stormy, head-high wedges with no one around; perhaps the perfect remedy for a hangover.

Bengal Beach

Saenz showed up with a Japanese camera crew. Peters put on a marathon sesh with 1 million backside hacks. Micah and Ward did work. And Ted shredded 'em all. Just another morning at the pier, but this time it's Hindi-style.

1 Hour in NP

Just a little shorey session at 54.

I strolled up on the tail end of a 3 hour session for Ted, so if he'd bogging, its out of exhaustion at this point. Still some fun ones though.

Our 100th Episode!

This morning, Hossegor came to 54th st for about 1 Hour. After a few barrels, the wind shifted and the boys started ripping big gaffs and flicking airs. Then Julian Wilson showed up and just flared 3 waves in a row, bigger and smoother than anything I've seen in a while.

Oh yeah, and this is 100th original surf film produced.

BROS vs. PROS - Reyes, Ward, Navarro, Hopkins, Taylor, Mauro, Love

Ah, it's as though summer is official over. This morning it was cold, gloomy, uncrowded, and all the boys were pumped.

While the stickered out, bright wetsuited PROS wrapped big carves and stuck airs, the local BROS fought back with snaps, floats, and a few combos. Everyone was ripping.

Das Fog - Teddy Navarro

It's been super foggy the last 2 mornings. We cut through it today to bring you this little vid of Ted shredding! The conditions aren't great, but it's just another day in the life of a pro surfer in HB.
