F1RST QUARTER
Filmed in Huntington Beach during the first quarter of 2013.
In the overcast winter weeks leading up the Australian leg of the world tour, Brett Simpson tested boards and trained in the roping Northwest swells that filter through the pier.

Noe Mar Visits California
Last week I met a blond-haired man-child named Noe Mar McGonagle. He's 16, but looks 20. He's Costa Rican, but looks Californian. He surfs good and I'm sure we'll see much more of him in the future.

Simpo (heating up!)
The US Open is right around the corner. Simpo's testing boards, weaving through the summer time crowd, and banging out a few clips in the process.
Filmed in about 1.5 hours on 7/18/12.
