A Simpson Photo Shoot

Everytime that Brett shows up, 8 guys wander down to the beach with cameras to document his every move (I know, I'm one of them). At any rate, this footage from 3 days this week illustrates why we sit on the beach watching, and further, why he's our reigning 2x US Open champ.

1 Hour with Christian Saenz

A couple of days ago I connected with Saenz for about 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. Here's the accumulation of those 2 sessions.

Last night Ryan Carlson caught exactly 4 waves in the 45 minutes before dark. Here's all 4.

3 Waves - Thompson and Simpson

Thompson vs. Simpson. East Coast vs. West Coast. Billabong vs. Hurley. These guys are out for blood! Eh . . . not really. On MLK Jr. day, Cody Thompson got 3 sick ones at 54th and about 5 miles up the road Brett Simpson got 3 sick ones on Southside Huntington.

In all fairness, I saw Simpo get a sick headhigh draining right barrel, but I missed the clip.

As the last swell dwindled, everyone else was sleeping in and going home from the Katin comp. Brett went out for a solo session on his 5'9" swallow tail.

The Katin Warm Up - Day 1 - We ditched it!

There was a heavy Katin Warm Up on Northside this morning. A million camera's documenting Micah, Ted, Carlson, Ettigner, Kane, a more trying to warm up for the comp this week.

Brett and Derek snuck out for a stealth mission on Southside and 1 Hour in HB was there to document it.

Snapshots of New Year's Eve

This was New Years Eve morning and there were a few little scraps left over from a NW swell. Simpo, Ted and a million groms were trying to get a final session in before 2011. Happy New Years!
