That's What's Up!

If you didn't surf around Newport in the past week, then you really need to reevaluate your life's priorities. It's been firing!

This is a hodge podge of different guys, from different sessions, on 2 days around Newport Beach this past week.

They don't, but even during this last run of swell, there was a lot of work for very few payoffs. The boys make it look super fun, usual.

1 Day with Carlson and Waring

On a morning down the beach, and a busy afternoon at the pier, the guys stomped a couple tail blows and get a couple barrels. Cameo appearance by Alex Gullet.

The Local Talent

1 session, 1 morning, North of the pier. Red tide, 3-4' combo swell. Peters, Saenz, Carlson, Navarro, and Van Arnsdale burned the locals to stomp a few clips.

Spring Fling

Spring has almost flung. The air is 80 degrees, girls are on the beach, and all the boys are back from Oz and Hawaii and surfing Northside. With the punchy high-tide inside reform everyone was flingin' airs. Can ya dig it?

Wind and Dead Batteries

I thought this morning was a wash. Shreddy had a dead battery and the wind was killing it. I struggled for 30 minutes in the water and then the boys paddled out and made it look like the waves were good. The morning went from nothing to something in 1 short hour.

1 Hour with Shaun Ward

A little combo swell is running and everyone is getting their fair share. On this day, Ward and I tried to pull a stealth mission only to find all the boys down the beach doing a photo session. Nevertheless, Shaun found a little peak and ripped it by himself for an hour.

Ryan and Mason Spend 1 Hour in HB

Mason's in town for the US Open so Ryan's playing the role of gracious host. This is their first session out at southside. Ryan did his normal thing and Mason warmed up for the comp by connecting flat sections from the outside to the inside. A bunch of other guest stars showed up like Ted Navarro, Kalani David, Alex Gullet and more.

1 Hour Somewhere in Orange County

This last run of swell was 4-6' but straight south and walled from Newport to HB, so we took a short drive and scored a few lefts.
